1- Try canoeying or kayaking

First of all, we recommend you to visit Gorges de l'Ardèche, a steep and spectacular limestone. The best way to explore the gorges is on the water. Watersports enthousiasts, this activity is definitely for you! Try canoeing or kayaking with your family or your friends thanks to some operators here. Minimum age is seven. This activity is particularly popular in summer so book in advance and do not wait anymore!

2- Plan a fun afternoon in Aqua'Ardeche

Aqua'Ardeche is a beautiful aquatic park in the heart of a lush nature and vegetation. If you visit Mondragon with your children, this activity will amaze the entire family for sure! Here you can find  a lot of water-based activities with water slides, aqualoop, and so much more! If you want to relax while your children are playing around, there are some wooden loungers by the pool. Enjoy!

3- Visit the private mansion « Hôtel de Suze »

In Mondragon, there is a special private mansion called « Hôtel de Suze ». This mansion was built in the 16th century and used to belong to the Counts of Suze and to the Lords of Mondragon. Nowadays, you can visit this dramactic mansion full of history. Perfect for a culture trip, this activity will make you discover an important part of Mondragon's historical and cultural heritage.

4- Taste nougat, a Mondragon's speciality

During your stay, we recommend you to taste the delicous Mondragon's specialities. Among them, do not miss nougat and especially the famous « nougat de Sault ». This kind of nougat is made with honey and lavender. Awake your taste buds with nougat! If you are curious, you can even visit a nougat manufacturer. The most well-known is « Maison Boyer », specialist in nougat since 1887.

5- Hike in Aval des Gorges

Back to Gorges de l'Ardèche with a sporting activity. If you want to stay fit even during your vacations, this activity is for you! The Sentier Aval des Gorges descends 2km to the river. Then, you have to follow the Gorges during 10km. This activity is perfect to discover the beauty of the nature. Between natural landscapes and lush vegetation, hike in this dream setting!

6- Walk around Orange

Near Mondragon, you can find a bigger city, called Orange. Enjoy your stay and walk around this beautiful city, renowed for its Roman architecture. In particular, do not miss the impressive Roman theatre where several concerts are still organised! You can also make a stop at the Triumphal Arc of Orange, both listed by UNESCO as World Heritage sites.

7- Ride your bike to Pont du Gard

Pont du Gard is perfect to do cycling. This ancient Roman aqueduct is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. If you visit Mondragon, you can't miss the opportunity to see the Pont du Gard. Built on three levels, this bridge is so impressive. Perfect for a family ride!
